A TV ads model was among four people killed in a house fire at Jl. Sawo III in Tebet area in South Jakarta early Tuesday.
Melina Rahmawati, 24, a model for instant noodle and candy ads on TV, and the three other victims were guests of the owner of the house.
Wendy, a resident in the neighborhood, said Melina, Edi Wijaya, Ririn and Salma had visited the house to attend a birthday party.
"They were all on the second floor when the fire razed the house at around 2 a.m.," Wendy said.
Their scorched bodies were found inside a bath room.
The owner of the house, Aditia Warman, managed to escape the burning house, Wendy said. "He is shocked and calming down at a neighbor's house," he said.
